graph_the_edgeI wonder who Ishii-buchou will pick for the last place. It'll have to be either the strongest singles player we have left out of this bunch, or else someone who's really good at doubles without actually being part of a dedicated pair.
[Yagyuu: In either case it'll likely be temporary. Akaya has been pushing himself hard. He'll join us next spring or break his neck trying. And Yukimura has to have told Ishii about him.
So the last one also has to be someone who can gracefully become an alternate, after the kid mops the court with him. That narrows the field pretty far. In fact, it almost has to be Kosugi Juurouta.
They will have seen it, too, now Yanagi's back.
At least Yukimura should have an easy time suggesting it, since Narita had the sense to declare him vice-captain. ]
Speaking of which, I was a bit surprised at the surprise over that. Don't these people learn anything? Yukimura has never insisted on the form when he already has the content.
