That was as boring as Districts usually are. Wasn't quite straight sets the whole way, but it was close. This despite Narita-buchou being his usual uncompromising self and throwing Yukimura, Sanada and Tachibana into all three matches. You could almost see him thinking that this was a safe point for them to lag, if they were going to.

I don't think any of you need me to tell you that you did? Didn't think so.

Yanagi needs to get back from his damn exchange program. This isn't my job. Anyway, Tachibana just needs a little more endurance training and he'll be fine. Yukimura--

[Rikkai: You and Sanada need to pull back. Narita-buchou might not know what it is you're doing. Or he might and be trying to break you to make you stop. He's hard for even me to read. But you're going too deep, too fast, trying not to be distracted by each other. If you're going to keep playing doubles, this year, you need to get your balance back. You can't judge your own endurance or choose the best strategy when you're that deep. Counting on raw strength to pull you through is stupid, even for you two. ]

Thank you; I know it isn't your job. Does our balance look that far off?

Yes. It would be easier if you and Sanada could argue with each other, the way most doubles pairs to to take the edge off.

Thank you, Niou. You raise a very good point.
